DC Blogs … Live

DC Blogs, a blog that surveys the local blog scene started by journalist Pat Thibodeau, launched today a page that aggregates the content of many of the blogs he highlights on their own page. The feature, called DC Blogs Live is similar something George Hotelling developed for ArborBlogs.com back in 2004. While I applaud Pat and his team for their feature, I find these automated aggregators somewhat sterile and hope they don’t soon give up their edited observations of the DC blogosphere.

  1. Thanks for your kind words. Regarding your concern … I agree with you — an automated feed alone is steril. We’re just using it as a companion to the main content. The automated feed won’t have any impact on the regular postings of noted blogs. That’s the fun part.
