Can You Keep a Secret?

This is the sort of thing part of me wanted to keep to myself. As part of Cultural Tourism DC’s seasonal WalkingTown DC events where they sponsor dozens of free historical walks throughout the city, they are offering this one on April 22:

Metro: Behind the Scenes
Saturday April 22, 9 – 10:30 am
Meet at the Metro Center Metro station (13th Street exit).
Happy 30th Anniversary Metro! Ever wondered about the history of the DC Metro system? Ever wanted to know the stories behind the stops and what’s coming up next? Spend a few hours wandering underground and learn little-known facts about the city’s transportation network from Metro’s interim general manager, Dan Tangherlini. Presented by Metro.

If strolling about underground with Mr. Tangherlini isn’t your idea of a fun time take a look at the list of other tours – I think it’s among the best WalkingTown event they’ve done yet.
