Today was the groundbreaking for a project in my neighborhood just north of the convention center. According to Shaw Main Streets, “the project includes renovation of some of the oldest buildings in Shaw, with new construction at the rear.” This development comes along a stretch of 9th Street which has seen the opening of Vegetate and a new Ethiopian Restaurant at P and 9th now under construction. The stretch is already home to Azi’s Cafe, who provided treats for the event. I also took a photo of the back of the building.
