All of the links lead to the website of Powell's Books, a bookstore based in Portland, Oregon. I have chosen Powell's because they have a nice website, their stores are unionized, and they are an independent bookseller. I previously have used Amazon.com to purchase books, however I've stopped to respect the request of the employees of Border's #1 store in Ann Arbor, Michigan, currently on strike for a living wage. Amazon and Borders
have a "partnership," so the strikers have asked supporters to boycott them as well during the strike.
