About This Page

Will be an evolving list of books I've either read or plan on reading. The list will reflect my interests in planning, history, art, architecture and progressive politics, and if you think you know something I should include, feel free to drop me a line at rgoodspe(at)umich.edu.

All of the links lead to the website of Powell's Books, a bookstore based in Portland, Oregon. I have chosen Powell's because they have a nice website, their stores are unionized, and they are an independent bookseller. I previously have used Amazon.com to purchase books, however I've stopped to respect the request of the employees of Border's #1 store in Ann Arbor, Michigan, currently on strike for a living wage. Amazon and Borders have a "partnership," so the strikers have asked supporters to boycott them as well during the strike.
