The next speaker in the colloquium organized by professors Anthony S. Chen, Matt Lassiter, and Robert Mickey that brought Tom Sugrue to campus earlier this semester is planned for this week. Harvard Professor Lizabeth Cohen will be giving a talk called "The Racial Politics of Mass Consumption in the Consumers' Republic" on Friday from 12:00 to 1:30 PM in Angell Hall auditorium A, related, no doubt, to her recent book "A Consumer's Republic: The Politics of Mass Consumption in Postwar America".Posted by Rob at 12:49 AM
