Lee Bollinger's plan to revitalize the Columbia School of Journalism is ripped in this article by Washington Post Columnist Robert Samuelson titled "Snob Journalism". "Bollinger's vision amounts to snob journalism: journalism by an elite for an elite" writes Samuelson. "Bollinger says the label [professional] is needed to create "stronger standards and values" against nasty commercial pressures. How condescending.
